Crash simulation

Simulation of Accident Situations (Crash)
The performance of constructions in accidents is assessed according to crash simulations, long before the production of the first prototype. The crash simulation also aims at reducing development times and cost. Any possible critical variations and accident situations are simulated before the virtual results are verified at the real prototype.

Passenger Safety
The growing consciousness for the protection of passengers in accident situations results in an increasing need for simulations allowing for reliable statements regarding the passenger stress values. Our calculation engineers use these simulations for the assessment of the passenger stress e.g. upon an impact of the head on the instrument panel, the centre support or the A-column of the car body.

Impact (shock load, drop test)
A sufficient solidity against impact stress, which can be proven e.g. by drop tests, is often required for products in plastics technology. Hand drills, home and mobile phones, transport and hazardous freight containers are only a few examples for this. Mathematical impact and drop test are highly dynamic and especially with products in plastics technology nonlinear due to significant deformations and the material behaviour. Our calculation engineers have the absolutely necessary material knowledge of plastics for the selection of appropriate material models and the assessment of highly dynamic material stressing.
